Product Overview

An electric fixed cone valve, is a type of valve that is commonly used in industrial applications. This valve is designed to control and regulate the flow of fluids, such as liquids or gases, in a pipeline system.

The electric fixed cone valve operates by using an electric motor to open or close the valve, allowing or restricting the flow of fluid. This type of valve is particularly useful in situations where precise control over the flow of fluid is required. With the electric motor, the valve can be easily automated and integrated into a control system.

Product description

Fixed cone valves are usually used as free discharge valves for turbine generator set bypass valves, or continuous discharge flow control. It is named after the inverted conical plunger spool, referred to as conical valve, and because of its excellent energy dissipation effect, it is also called energy dissipation valve. In addition to the tapered valve core at the end of the flow channel, all moving parts of the cone valve are arranged outside the flow channel of the valve, so that the flow channel inside the valve body is usually smooth, the flow rate is large, and the pressure drop loss is small. There will be no cavitation and vibration in the entire working range; the valve will not produce cavitation and vibration in the entire working range, and it still has a good flow control effect at low flow rates. Its structure is a fixed inverted cone, advanced hydraulic design body and four guide vane blades to reduce vibration support, the flow rate is controlled by the front and rear movement of the external movable casing, and the valve body is equipped with metal pairs. Metal valve seat and or supplementary soft sealing valve seat, or both constitute a composite valve seat to ensure sealing performance. When discharged into the atmosphere, the water stream spreads out in a wide cone angle and breaks down into a thin spray pattern, dissipating energy in the air. Usually according to actual needs, it can be required to control the water flow area, then install at the outlet - a different form of shroud, which can not only mix the air with sufficient water, but also concentrate the flow.

The results of the test of the fixed cone cone valve showed no obvious vibration, which depends on the amount of air in the water flow. When the fixed cone is fully opened, the discharge coefficient is about 0.9 with or without the shroud.
